Derrick Ashong and Soulfege

You may remember the remarkably gifted young man who, caught outside a primary debate, oratorically soared in his response to a reporter (obviously a Republican, obviously hoping to interview those who support Obama but can't explain why).

And it turns out that he's also a musician. His band, Soulfege, has released their first cd, which I listened to in its entirity, found reminiscent of Michael Franti and Spearhead, and wholeheartedly recommend. You won't be surprised that my favorite song is "Funkadocious."
